 Chris Brown Avoids Jail After London Nightclub Attack, Gets 8-Month Suspended Sentence Chris Brown will not be going to prison for now after a London court sentenced him over a nightclub attack that left music producer Abraham Diaw injured. The American singer, 37, was sentenced at Southwark Crown Court on Monday, October 26, receiving eight months in prison, suspended for 12 months. His co-defendant, rapper HoodyBaby, whose real name is Omololu Akinlolu, 40, received a four-month suspended sentence, also for 12 months. Both were ordered to pay £1,500 in costs. The case dates back to February 19, 2023 at Tape nightclub in Mayfair, London, where Brown admitted attacking Diaw with a tequila bottle. CCTV footage showed the producer being struck twice on the head, hit on the shoulder, chased, pushed to the floor and kicked while down. Justice Omotosho has denied the application of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's deteriorating health.


He has ordered the President of National Medical Association to constitute an investigation committee who will examine Nnamdi Kanu's health condition, as against his transfer to National Hospital Abuja.

Proceedings Have Officially Commenced Before Justice James Omotosho. The Court Is Expected To Deliver A Ruling On Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s Pending Application Concerning His Health Condition.


Leading The Defense Is Senior Advocate Of Nigeria, Onyinyechi Ikpeazu (SAN), Who Makes Oral Submissions On Behalf Of Kanu.


Since Writing Is Not Allowed While The Court Is In Session, Updates Remain Limited At The Moment. However, Justice Omotosho Is Expected To Rule Within The Next 10 Minutes On Two Crucial Issues:


1. The No-Case Submission.


2. The Request To Transfer Mazi Nnamdi Kanu To A Hospital For Urgent Medical Care.
