Family and neighbors mourn woman shot by ICE agent after making Minneapolis her home  Before she was fatally shot by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer, 37-year-old Renee Good had just dropped her youngest child off at an elementary school in Minneapolis, the city she and her family had recently begun to call home. As Trump administration officials continued Thursday to describe Good as a domestic terrorist who tried to ram federal agents with her Honda Pilot, those who knew her remembered someone very different: a gentle, kind, and openhearted mother, wife, and neighbor.  Namakgale family of nine left homeless after fire guts house

A family of nine from Foskor in Namakgale, outside Phalaborwa, has been left homeless after a fire destroyed their home on Sunday morning.

The blaze ripped through the Mangena household, reducing children’s books, uniforms, and clothing to ashes. Shocked neighbors gathered at the gate as firefighters battled to contain the flames.

Speaking to  Limpopo Current Affairs, the sister of the family said she first noticed something was wrong when the fan in her room suddenly switched off. “I could smell something burning from the passage, and when I stepped out, I realised the house was on fire,” she said.

The cause of the fire remains unknown.

In the aftermath, the Ba-Phalaborwa Local Municipality has donated sponges to the family, while community members have rallied together, offering food. Volunteers are also helping clean the house to remove the debris and dirt left by the blaze.

Despite the support, the family has lost most of their belongings and remain in urgent need of assistance to rebuild their lives.
