 KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized. According to KADIRS, the E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice) has officially replaced the former Local Government Harmonized Demand Notice and is now the only valid document for on-the-spot taxpayer assessment through the state's Central Billing System.  Police Probe Murder, Kidnapping and Attempted Murder in Mnyangani Village


Giyani police in the Mopani district are investigating cases of murder, kidnapping, and attempted murder that took place at Mnyangani village on Wednesday, 10 September 2025.


Police members responded to a complaint of murder and, upon arrival, found the lifeless body of a man lying in a pool of blood behind a house with multiple gunshot wounds.


Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim had been at home with two unknown men when two armed suspects stormed into the yard, opened fire, and fled in an unknown vehicle.


One victim, identified as Themba Shivuri of Mnyangani, was certified dead at the scene by emergency personnel. A second victim was rushed to hospital for treatment, while the whereabouts of the third man remain unknown.


The motive for the attack is still unclear. Police are appealing to community members with any information that could assist in the investigation to contact Detective Warrant Officer Moses Menyuku at 082 729 0343.
