 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. TOBI AMUSAN LAMENTS INFERIOR KITS PROVIDED TO TEAM NIGERIA AHEAD OF WORLD ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIP.(VIDEO/PHOTO)

“This country will steadily embarrass you’’’- Tobi Amusan laments inferior kits provided to team Nigeria ahead of World Athletics championship


With just few hours to the kick-off of the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo, Japan, former world champion and women’s 100m hurdles record holder, Tobi Amusan, has criticized the Nigerian government over the kit provided for herself and other athletes representing the country at the championship.


Amusan voiced her concerns over what she perceived as unprofessionalism and lack of coordination within the federation.


In a video she shared on her Snapchat, Amusan could said unlike other countries that provide their contingents with kits in suitcases, the Nigerian government hands them their own kits in nylon bags with little or nothing significant inside it. 


‘’This country will steadily embarass you. Una come say make people nor switch allegiance? Una never ready. No singlets. Nothing!’’ she said


She further stated that although the Jamaican authorities are also lagging behind with regards providing for their contingents, they are not as worse as their Nigerian counterpart.
