 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. “This country will steadily embarrass you’’’- Tobi Amusan laments inferior kits provided to team Nigeria ahead of World Athletics championship


With just few hours to the kick-off of the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo, Japan, former world champion and women’s 100m hurdles record holder, Tobi Amusan, has criticized the Nigerian government over the kit provided for herself and other athletes representing the country at the championship.


Amusan voiced her concerns over what she perceived as unprofessionalism and lack of coordination within the federation.


In a video she shared on her Snapchat, Amusan could said unlike other countries that provide their contingents with kits in suitcases, the Nigerian government hands them their own kits in nylon bags with little or nothing significant inside it. 


‘’This country will steadily embarass you. Una come say make people nor switch allegiance? Una never ready. No singlets. Nothing!’’ she said


She further stated that although the Jamaican authorities are also lagging behind with regards providing for their contingents, they are not as worse as their Nigerian counterpart.
