Tom Holland is taking a brief break from filming the upcoming Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, after suffering a mild concussion. He is expected to return to the set within a few days.
Holland, 29, has played Spider-Man/Peter Parker since Captain America: Civil War in 2016 and most recently starred in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. Production on the fourth installment of the franchise is underway. Last month, Holland shared a photo in his iconic costume, and Sony Pictures released a behind-the-scenes video in August showing him on set. Holland described the start of filming as “day one” and noted the excitement of having fans present. He previously teased the movie’s “crazy” storyline, promising it would be unlike anything seen in the series before. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled for release on July 31, 2026.
