 So Linus Williams (Blord) has been released from Kuje prison after fulfilling his bail conditions, finally, freedom after a few weeks in custody. However, here’s the current position of his case:  He is still expected to show up and stand his trial.  If he fails to appear in court even for one day, his bail can be revoked and a bench warrant may be issued against him, meaning a return to Kuje. If the prosecution cannot prove the charges against him, he will be discharged and acquitted. If the prosecution proves the charges, he may be sentenced and sent back to Kuje. I think he should seek a peaceful resolution to the case. Congrats to him on his freedom for now.

 VP SHETTIMA LEADS NIGERIA'S DELEGATION TO 80TH UNGA IN NEW YORK 


Vice President Kashim Shettima will lead Nigeria’s delegation to the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly holding in New York, United States of America, between Monday, September 22 and Sunday 28, 2025.


In a Statement by the Senior Special Assistant to The President on Media and Communications, Office of the Vice President, Stanley Nkwocha said Shettima who is scheduled to join other leaders at the global event to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the United Nations will also join other dignitaries at the high-level general debates from Tuesday, September 23rd to Sunday 28th.


VP Shettima will also deliver Nigeria’s national statement on behalf of President Tinubu on Wednesday, September 24 between 3:00pm and  9:00pm, New York time.


He will attend a special event on Climate for Heads of State and Government to be hosted by the UN Secretary-General on Wednesday, September 24, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm, where Nigeria is expected to announce its new Nationally Determined Contributions under the Paris Agreement.


Vice President Shettima is also slated to attend the high-level roundtable of the Global Champions on Adequate and Affordable Housing to be hosted by the President of Kenya on September 24th and attend to other bilateral meetings and events. 


After the UNGA, the Vice President will leave for Frankfurt, Germany, where he is slated to meet with officials of the Deutche Bank before returning to Nigeria.
