 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. The United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Richard Mills, has praised Abia State Governor Alex Otti’s leadership style, describing it as a model for improving governance.


During a visit to the Governor’s home at Nvosi on Friday evening, Mills highlighted the positive changes brought about by Otti’s administration, particularly in infrastructure development and security.


“Your leadership in Abia has brought real change here, positive change. Your focus on infrastructure, on security challenges, has really transformed the state,” 


He added that the US values its partnership with Abia State and the entire Southeast region of Nigeria, citing tremendous opportunities for business and commercial interests.


Mills expressed admiration for the governor’s commitment to fostering economic growth, empowering youth, and creating a more transparent and accountable government.


“Your administration’s commitment to fostering economic growth, empowering youth, and creating a more transparent and more accountable government really aligns very closely with our goals and what U.S. business needs to see if it’s going to invest,” 


In response, Governor Otti appreciated the US Ambassador’s visit, describing it as an endorsement of his administration’s efforts.


“We know that it’s not always that the American Government visits a state. It’s a mark of endorsement as far as we are concerned here,”


He expressed willingness to partner with the US in various areas, highlighting Abia State’s potential as the “SME capital of Nigeria”.


The governor showcased his administration’s reforms in critical areas such as healthcare, education, waste management, Small and Medium-scale Enterprises (SME), and digital technology.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
