 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision. A GEORGIA WOMAN WHO RAN AN UNLICENSED DAYCARE IS FACING FELONY CHARGES AFTER A 2-YEAR-OLD IN HER CARE, WAS FATALLY ATTACKED BY HER DOGS.(PHOTO).

 A Georgia woman who ran an unlicensed daycare is facing felony charges after a 2-year-old in her care, was fatally attacked by her dogs.


This shocking and heartbreaking incident occurred on October 4th in Valdosta, Georgia. 


According to official police reports, 2-year-old Kaimir Jones was left unattended for over 2 hours while the daycare owner, 48-year-old Stacey Wheeler Cobb, slept.


While Stacey slept, Kaimir left the residence and wondered into the backyard. Kaimir then managed to open a kennel where two large Rottweiler dogs were being kept. Investigators are still trying to determine how the young boy managed to open the kennel.


Once the kennel was open, the two Rottweilers attacked Kaimir, taking his young life. 


When Stacey was questioned, she told authorities she "was napping and thought that Kaimir was also asleep".


Stacey Wheeler Cobb was arrested and is being charged with second-degree homicide and second-degree cruelty to children.
