 Algeria arrests 61 Moroccans over alleged sabotage plot Algerian authorities announced they have arrested 61 Moroccan nationals earlier this month on suspicion of planning "acts of sabotage". In a statement carried by public media on Sunday, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) referred to "an international Moroccan criminal network" but did not provide details of the alleged plots. The 61 people, including a former soldier in the Moroccan army, "were preparing to commit acts of sabotage undermining security and public order", the DGSN said, AFP reported. It added that the suspects had entered Algeria via mountain trails from neighbouring Tunisia. Diplomatic strains Relations between Algeria and Morocco have been strained for years, and their shared land border has been closed since 1994. In 2021, Algiers decided to sever diplomatic relations. A YOUNG FEMALE WAS VICIOUSLY ATTACKED IN THE WALMART PARKING LOT AT APPROXIMATELY 6:57 A.M. THIS MORNING WHILE ARRIVING FOR WORK. THE SUSPECT HAS NOT BEEN APPREHENDED.(PHOTO).

 Salem, Illinois- A young female was viciously attacked in the Walmart parking lot at approximately 6:57 a.m. this morning while arriving for work. The suspect has not been apprehended.


The employee had a male passenger in her vehicle. It is reported she was giving an acquaintance a ride. According to reports, as the female tried to leave the vehicle and go to work, "she was tased several times by the passenger". The female was also "struck in the face by the passenger with a closed fist more than once". The passenger tried to force the female into the back seat. The victim was thankfully able to flee her vehicle. A customer called 911 after they came in contact with the victim. 


The male passenger carjacked the vehicle and fled the scene. 


The vehicle has been retrieved, however he has not been apprehended, so please be extra careful about who you give a ride to right now. 


The victim went to the hospital via ambulance and was treated for her injuries. I'm sure this was a harrowing experience and I'm positive she will be in many of our thoughts and prayers. 


The suspect's name has not been released but we will update when it is proper to do so. We are also not releasing the name of the victim. This is an ongoing and active case. 


Several of the victim's coworkers have come forward and said that "she is a very kind person" and they "feel awful that this has happened to her". Walmart employees acted fast to help the woman.
