 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail.  Actor Alapini meets Seyi Tinubu after allegations of not being compensated in 2023


Nollywood actor, Ganiyu Nafiu, professionally known as Alapini Oosa, has met with President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu.

This came a few months after the veteran actor expressed regret campaigning for president Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress, APC, during the 2023 general election.

He had lamented not being recognised or compensated for his efforts after two years of Tinubu in office.

Five months after calling out the president, Alapini finally had a close door meeting with Seyi Tinubu alongside actress Fathia Balogun Williams.

Photos from the meeting have continued to spark controversy on social media.

DAILY POST reports that neither party has disclosed details or the purpose of their discussion as of the time of this report.
