The credibility of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) voters’ register has come under intense scrutiny ahead of the 2027 general elections, following revelations by INEC Chairman Professor Joash Amupitan that names of deceased persons remain on the register. Amupitan disclosed that names of voters who died as far back as 15 years ago are still listed, a situation critics say could undermine the integrity of the 2027 polls and lead to significant financial waste through the printing of excess ballot papers and other election logistics. The INEC chairman made the revelation while receiving the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Abisoye Coker-Odusote, and her management team during a courtesy visit in Abuja on Wednesday. AN INDIANA MOTHER WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AFTER HER CHILD WAS FOUND WANDERING THE STREETS IN A VERY FULL DIAPER WITH A CIGARETTE BURN ON THE CHILD'S FOREHEAD.(PHOTO).

An Indiana mother was taken into custody after her child was found wandering the streets in a very full diaper with a cigarette burn on the child's forehead.

Officers in Evansville, Indiana, received a call at 9:50 p.m. on October 14th. The caller described seeing a young child walking alone in the middle of the road.

Officers arrived on the scene to discover the young child dressed only in pants. According to reports, the child's diaper was so full that urine had soaked through the pants and was dripping onto the child's feet. There also appeared to be a cigarette burn in the middle of the child's forehead.

Officers were eventually able to determine the child's mother is 25-year-old Diasha Dixon. After locating Dixon, she became resistant to questioning and refused to speak to officers. When police questioned Dixon on the whereabouts of her 3 other children, she refused to cooperate.

Dixon's children were ultimately located by authorities, and all 4 children are in DFS custody.  Dixon reportedly told DFS workers the mark on her child's forehead was an insect bite and not a cigarette burn.

Evansville PD arrested Diasha Dixon on charges of neglect of a dependant and obstruction of justice.

Diasha Dixon was booked into Vanderburgh County Jail.
