 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. AN OHIO MAN IS BEING HAILED AS A HERO AFTER DISREGARDING HIS PERSONAL SAFETY AND RUNNING HEAD FIRST INTO A BLAZING INFERNO IN AN ATTEMPT TO SAVE THE LIFE OF A COMPLETE STRANGER.(PHOTO).

 An Ohio man is being hailed as a hero after disregarding his personal safety and running head first into a blazing inferno in an attempt to save the life of a complete stranger.


When Logan Fomenko saw a home engulfed in flames and a person trapped inside on the night of October 9th, he didn't think twice. 


Logan rushed headfirst into the already fully engulfed home. His friends and family say he acted on pure instinct and courage, sacrificing his own well-being to save the life of a man he did not know. 


Unfortunately, while inside of the home, Logan was injured by an explosion. He suffered severe burns as a result.


Logan was air lifted to UPMC Mercy hospital, where he remains. 


Logan reportedly faces multiple surgeries in the near future as a result of his heroic actions that day and will be unable to return to work in the foreseeable future. 


A GoFundMe was started to help Logan while he recovers and this is where his community came out to support their hometown hero. Nearly $25,000 has been raised so far.


This is a touching story about one man's bravery in the face of danger and a community acknowledging his sacrifices and showing up to support him.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
