 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school. AN OHIO MAN IS BEING HAILED AS A HERO AFTER DISREGARDING HIS PERSONAL SAFETY AND RUNNING HEAD FIRST INTO A BLAZING INFERNO IN AN ATTEMPT TO SAVE THE LIFE OF A COMPLETE STRANGER.(PHOTO).

 An Ohio man is being hailed as a hero after disregarding his personal safety and running head first into a blazing inferno in an attempt to save the life of a complete stranger.


When Logan Fomenko saw a home engulfed in flames and a person trapped inside on the night of October 9th, he didn't think twice. 


Logan rushed headfirst into the already fully engulfed home. His friends and family say he acted on pure instinct and courage, sacrificing his own well-being to save the life of a man he did not know. 


Unfortunately, while inside of the home, Logan was injured by an explosion. He suffered severe burns as a result.


Logan was air lifted to UPMC Mercy hospital, where he remains. 


Logan reportedly faces multiple surgeries in the near future as a result of his heroic actions that day and will be unable to return to work in the foreseeable future. 


A GoFundMe was started to help Logan while he recovers and this is where his community came out to support their hometown hero. Nearly $25,000 has been raised so far.


This is a touching story about one man's bravery in the face of danger and a community acknowledging his sacrifices and showing up to support him.
