 TROOPS OF OPERATION WHIRL STROKE ARREST HIGH PROFILE CRIMINAL IN BENUE COMMUNITY Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE arrested a high-profile suspected criminal during an intelligence-driven operation in Agasha Village of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, following a report of an attack on a local resident. The operation was launched on 13 March 2026 after security agencies received credible information regarding an attack on Mr Shaapera Seeta Michael in Agasha Village. Acting swiftly on the report, troops of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Intervention Battalion XI deployed under Operation WHIRL STROKE mobilised immediately to the affected area to track down the suspect responsible for the assault. Upon arrival, the troops cordoned the area to prevent the suspect from escaping while conducting a targeted search operation aimed at identifying and apprehending the alleged attacker. The wife of the Anambra State governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, says girls are treasures, changemakers, better leaders, better leaders, adding that any society that wants to grow must first acknowledge the uniqueness of the girl child and do all that it can to protect and guard them.


The Anambra First Lady, who is the founder of ‘Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo’, urged families, work and worship places, schools, and communities, to do the best it can to establish the best environment for every girl to succeed in.


She stated this in a statement released on Saturday to mark the International Day of the Girl Child, adding that as a government that thrives on inclusivity, the state has taken extraordinary steps to build a healthy society for every gender to live and excel in.


"Girls are treasures. To be a girl child is to be born unique, intelligent, rare, and beautiful. Girls are changemakers, best managers, and better leaders. Any society that wants to grow must first acknowledge the uniqueness of the girl child and do all that it can to protect and guard them"


According to her, the Anambra State government has revamped it’s health sector and opened up easy access to affordable and quality health care delivery.

“For every child in Anambra State, we understand and take responsibility for their dreams. For every girl child in our dear state, we do even more because to be a girl is to be super special.
