 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision.  Ayamelum Residents Lament Years of Neglect Over Dilapidated Road


Residents of Ayamelum Local Government Area have cried out over the deplorable condition of the only major road linking their communities to Anambra East, describing it as a clear sign of government neglect.


According to them, the road has remained one of the worst in Anambra East, yet it serves as the only lifeline to Ayamelum. The people say the situation has made transportation of goods, especially farm produce, extremely difficult, causing economic hardship and isolating many villages during the rainy season.


“We are tired of empty promises,” one resident lamented. “This road tells our story — a story of neglect and suffering. Each year, we hear about development funds, but Ayamelum is always forgotten.”


They also questioned the state government over the recently publicized Common Service Fund, wondering why their area continues to be excluded.


The people of Ayamelum are calling on the Anambra State Government to urgently rehabilitate the road, noting that Ayamelum deserves the same attention and development given to other parts of the state.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
