 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  Bandits Abduct Anglican Priest, Wife In Kaduna Community


Suspected bandits have abducted an Anglican priest, Reverend Edwin Achi, alongside his wife, Mrs. Sarah Achi, during an early morning attack on Nissi village in the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.


A member of the Anglican Church of Nigeria confirmed the incident to SaharaReporters, revealing that the armed men stormed the community and whisked the couple away from their residence before dawn. The source expressed concern that the attack had not been widely reported, adding that the situation reflected the deepening insecurity facing residents in the area.


“The bandits invaded Nissi village and took away Reverend Achi and his wife. Sadly, incidents like this are happening too often, yet many of them never make it to the news,” the source lamented.
