 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. Bridgerton returns Jan. 29 with two-part Season 4 release


Netflix has announced that Part 1 of Bridgerton Season 4 will debut on January 29, marking the return of the beloved Regency-era drama. The streaming platform released a 44-second teaser on Monday, offering a glimpse of the show’s next romantic chapter.

“With each passing season, one is known to experience plenty of ups and downs,” narrates Lady Whistledown, voiced by Julie Andrews. “So then we must ask ourselves, do we rise to the occasion? As always, time, and this author, will tell.” The eight-episode season draws inspiration from Julia Quinn’s novel An Offer from a Gentleman and introduces viewers to the story of Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). The teaser shows the pair’s fleeting encounter at a masquerade ball, followed by a single cream-colored glove left behind — hinting at a Cinderella-inspired romance.

Thompson described the season as a “twist on Cinderella,” emphasizing how its magical and romantic elements blend naturally into the Bridgerton universe. Returning cast members include Jonathan Bailey, Simone Ashley, Nicola Coughlan, Adjoa Andoh, Claudia Jessie, and Golda Rosheuvel, among many others. Bridgerton Season 4 will continue with Part 2, set to premiere February 26 on Netflix.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
