 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. Bridgerton returns Jan. 29 with two-part Season 4 release


Netflix has announced that Part 1 of Bridgerton Season 4 will debut on January 29, marking the return of the beloved Regency-era drama. The streaming platform released a 44-second teaser on Monday, offering a glimpse of the show’s next romantic chapter.

“With each passing season, one is known to experience plenty of ups and downs,” narrates Lady Whistledown, voiced by Julie Andrews. “So then we must ask ourselves, do we rise to the occasion? As always, time, and this author, will tell.” The eight-episode season draws inspiration from Julia Quinn’s novel An Offer from a Gentleman and introduces viewers to the story of Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). The teaser shows the pair’s fleeting encounter at a masquerade ball, followed by a single cream-colored glove left behind — hinting at a Cinderella-inspired romance.

Thompson described the season as a “twist on Cinderella,” emphasizing how its magical and romantic elements blend naturally into the Bridgerton universe. Returning cast members include Jonathan Bailey, Simone Ashley, Nicola Coughlan, Adjoa Andoh, Claudia Jessie, and Golda Rosheuvel, among many others. Bridgerton Season 4 will continue with Part 2, set to premiere February 26 on Netflix.
