 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  Court Orders Final Forfeiture of $20,000, CFA 110,000 To FG In Lagos


Justice Dehinde Dipeolu of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, on October 15, 2025, ordered the final forfeiture of the sums of $20,000 and CFA 110,000 to the Federal Government of Nigeria. The monies  were intercepted by operatives of the Nigerian Customs Service, NCS, at Seme Border in the Badagry Local Government Area of Lagos State and handed over to Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, for further investigation. The Judge gave the order following a motion on notice filed by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the EFCC through its lawyer, H.U. Kofarnaisa.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
