 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  Disney employee’s death ruled suicide, second in 10 days

Authorities have ruled the third death on Walt Disney World property in 10 days a suicide. The individual, 28-year-old Matthew Cohn, died after jumping from a height at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Florida, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

This marks the second suicide at the Contemporary Resort in just over a week. Earlier, a 31-year-old woman also took her own life at the same hotel on October 14. A third death occurred on October 21 at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, where a man in his 60s died after a medical episode. The recent incidents follow a separate case at Disneyland in California on October 8, when a woman in her 60s was found unresponsive on the Haunted Mansion ride and later pronounced dead at a hospital. Disney has not commented on the recent deaths.
