 Chawai Community Appeals To Gov. Uba Sani For Relief, Medical Support After Deadly Kauru Attack The people of Chawai Chiefdom in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State have appealed to Governor Uba Sani to provide urgent relief and medical assistance to victims of the deadly attack on Naridon village in Kamaru Ward. In an open letter addressed to the governor, the community commended his leadership, describing his administration as inclusive and fair. They said this had given residents confidence that every community in the state is valued. The community, however, expressed concern over what it described as the lack of government intervention following the attack on Naridon village, in which it said 30 people were killed. According to the letter, many survivors and families of the victims are still struggling with grief, trauma, displacement, and the challenges of caring for those injured in the attack.  FG Resolves PENGASSAN & Dangote Dispute


After a reconciliation meeting, the Federal Government has brokered peace in the industrial dispute between Dangote Refinery and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN)


A statement by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Mohammed Maigari Dingyadi, in the early hours of Wednesday states that, after a lengthy discussion, the matter was resolved as follows: that Unionization is the rights of the Nigerian workers and that the Management of Dangote Group shall immediately start the process of taking the disengaged staff to other companies within the Dangote Group, with no loss of pay.


No worker will be victimized arising from their role in the impasse between Dangote and PENGASSAN.


All Parties agreed to the demands.


The government team at the meeting included the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; Minister of Labour and Employment, Mohammed Maigari Dingyadi; Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun; Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubaksr Atiku Bagudu; Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha; DG DSS, Adeola Ajayi; DG NIA, Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed.


Meanwhile PENGASSAN has scheduled a press briefing on the outcome of the engagement by 11 am
