 Chris Brown Avoids Jail After London Nightclub Attack, Gets 8-Month Suspended Sentence Chris Brown will not be going to prison for now after a London court sentenced him over a nightclub attack that left music producer Abraham Diaw injured. The American singer, 37, was sentenced at Southwark Crown Court on Monday, October 26, receiving eight months in prison, suspended for 12 months. His co-defendant, rapper HoodyBaby, whose real name is Omololu Akinlolu, 40, received a four-month suspended sentence, also for 12 months. Both were ordered to pay £1,500 in costs. The case dates back to February 19, 2023 at Tape nightclub in Mayfair, London, where Brown admitted attacking Diaw with a tequila bottle. CCTV footage showed the producer being struck twice on the head, hit on the shoulder, chased, pushed to the floor and kicked while down.  FLOOD ALERT: COMMUNITIES ALONG BANKS OF RIVERS NIGER AND KADUNA TO MOVE TO SAFER GROUNDS - NSEMA 


The Nigerian Hydrological Services has advised Communities along River Niger and Kaduna to relocate to safer grounds already identified.


The Agency's warning is coming as a result of discharge of  water from Kainji, Shiroro, Zungeru and Jebba hydro Dams located in Niger state.


A statement by the Director General Niger State Emergency Management Agency, Abdullahi Baba Arah indicate that the Dams are releasing thousands of gallons of water per minute that could lead to the overflow of these Rivers.


Communities  along the banks of the two rivers are therefore advised to limit  activities around those  axis  during this period to avoid being flooded.  


NiMeT  latest prediction indicated that the end of raining season  will be accompanied by violent windstorm as such people should avoid standing under trees during rainfall and also avoid substandard structures. 


The Niger state is already experiencing negative impact of the flooding with  houses, farm lands, bridges and  linked roads being washed away in some Local Government Areas  located at up and down stream of the four  Dams rendering many homeless and has affected the socio-economic activities of the communities with record of  loss of lives.
