 Texas woman charged with medical child abuse for falsifying toddler’s health and pushing unnecessary feeding tube surgeries A Texas woman has been charged with medical child abuse after allegedly falsifying her toddler’s medical history to pressure doctors into performing unnecessary procedures, including feeding tube surgeries, in what authorities are calling a “sickening” case. Kaitlyn Rose Laura, 31, faces charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said she deliberately misled medical staff about her 3-year-old son’s health to obtain a gastrostomy tube and later a gastrojejunostomy tube, despite no documented medical need. Investigators allege that hospital staff observed the boy eating normally while Laura claimed he refused all food. Covert surveillance confirmed the child was able to eat meals without difficulty, prompting authorities to stop tube feedings.  Governor Otti Delivers 5MVA Transformer to ABSU After Years of Blackout


Governor Alex Otti has fulfilled his promise to restore power at Abia State University (ABSU), Uturu, with the delivery of a 5MVA power transformer. 


The move, under the Abia Power Restoration Project Phase 2, marks a major breakthrough after years of darkness on campus.


According to the Abia State Ministry of Power, installation will commence soon to reconnect the institution to the national grid. For years, students and staff have depended on generators for academic and administrative activities.


 This new development is set to improve learning conditions, enhance security, and create a better environment for education at ABSU.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
