 Texas woman charged with medical child abuse for falsifying toddler’s health and pushing unnecessary feeding tube surgeries A Texas woman has been charged with medical child abuse after allegedly falsifying her toddler’s medical history to pressure doctors into performing unnecessary procedures, including feeding tube surgeries, in what authorities are calling a “sickening” case. Kaitlyn Rose Laura, 31, faces charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said she deliberately misled medical staff about her 3-year-old son’s health to obtain a gastrostomy tube and later a gastrojejunostomy tube, despite no documented medical need. Investigators allege that hospital staff observed the boy eating normally while Laura claimed he refused all food. Covert surveillance confirmed the child was able to eat meals without difficulty, prompting authorities to stop tube feedings.  GOVERNOR SOLUDO CELEBRATES ARCHBISHOP VALERIAN MADUKA OKEKE ON HIS BIRTHDAY


The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has conveyed his earnest felicitations to His Grace, the Most Rev. Dr. Valerian Maduka Okeke, the Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Onitsha, on the occasion of his birthday today, October 20th.


Governor Soludo, in his goodwill message, described Archbishop Okeke as a towering pillar of faith, a bastion of hope, and a quintessential embodiment of the spirit of excellence, integrity, and service to God and mankind.


The Governor eulogised the Archbishop for his over two decades of dynamic leadership at the helm of the Onitsha Archdiocese. He noted that under Archbishop Okeke’s spiritual guidance, the Church has witnessed remarkable growth, not only in faith but also in its commitment to education, healthcare, and humanitarian services, which have profoundly impacted the lives of countless citizens.


Governor Soludo further highlighted the Archbishop’s steadfast partnership and support for the State Government’s initiatives, particularly in fostering unity, moral rejuvenation, and  development agenda for a liveable and prosperous homeland.


Therefore, Governor Soludo celebrates Archbishop Valerian Maduka Okeke on his 72nd birthday, wishing him longer life, abundant health, and continued divine wisdom and strength to continue his sacred ministry.
