“IF YOU HAVE MONEY, ENHANCE YOUR LOOKS; IT’LL HELP YOU IN LIFE.” — SKIT MAKER, ZICSALOMA. (PHOTO).

“If you have money, enhance your looks;  it’ll help you in life.” — Skit maker, Zicsaloma

Popular Nigerian content creator Zicsaloma has advised people who can afford cosmetic surgery to go for it, saying appearance plays a major role in how the world treats you.

Sharing his personal experience, the comedian said he once lost out on a major customer care job because the female directors felt his “look didn’t fit the brand.”

“Out of a hundred applicants, we were shortlisted to three. I was the best — I could type fast, speak eloquently, and had the qualifications. But when it got to the final selection, they said no. The female directors said my look doesn’t work for customers,” he said.

He also recalled how during a Project Fame audition, a crew member later told him he was the best singer that day but wasn’t chosen because of his teeth and facial appearance.

“That was the first time someone told me about braces. The man said if I fixed my teeth and cleared my pimples, it would enhance my look. Before then, I didn’t even know there was anything wrong with my teeth,” he shared.

According to him, those experiences opened his eyes to the reality that “the world is superficial.”

He explained that people often criticize others for trying to look better, but in truth, looks open doors — from jobs to opportunities and even friendships.

“You can be talented and smart, but sometimes your looks will determine how far you go. There are actors chosen because of how fine they are, not because of how talented they are. The world rewards fine people faster,” he added.
