 Chawai Community Appeals To Gov. Uba Sani For Relief, Medical Support After Deadly Kauru Attack The people of Chawai Chiefdom in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State have appealed to Governor Uba Sani to provide urgent relief and medical assistance to victims of the deadly attack on Naridon village in Kamaru Ward. In an open letter addressed to the governor, the community commended his leadership, describing his administration as inclusive and fair. They said this had given residents confidence that every community in the state is valued. The community, however, expressed concern over what it described as the lack of government intervention following the attack on Naridon village, in which it said 30 people were killed. According to the letter, many survivors and families of the victims are still struggling with grief, trauma, displacement, and the challenges of caring for those injured in the attack. Ike Turner Jr., son of Tina and Ike Turner, dies at 67

Ike Turner Jr., the son of music legends Tina and Ike Turner, has died at the age of 67. According to family members, he passed away Saturday at a Los Angeles hospital from kidney failure. He had faced longstanding heart problems and had recently suffered a stroke in early September, with his health declining over time.

Born in 1958 to Ike Turner Sr. and Lorraine Taylor, Ike Jr. was adopted by Tina Turner early in life and grew up amid his parents’ high-profile music careers. After Tina and Ike Sr. divorced, Ike Jr. briefly worked as her sound engineer. One of four children associated with the Turners’ iconic partnership, he largely stayed out of the public eye in recent years while remaining connected to his parents’ musical legacy. Ike Turner Sr. died in 2007, and Tina Turner passed away in 2023.
