 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. Senator Orji Uzor Kalu declares 'no-opposition' to the senate seat in Abia state, advising the contemporaries who are aiming at it to relax and wait their turn which according to him, is whenever he's 'done'.

"All these people saying that they want to go to senate, which senate? What are they going there to do? They should wait for me to finish, when I finish, they can come over, I'm not contesting the senate seat in Abia with anybody. GOd bears me witness that I was sincere as a governor and I'm sincere as a senator. Whatever I did as a governor is what I'm repeating as a senator.."
