NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court.  Lagos Govt demolishes Ola of Lagos’ car showroom

The Lagos State Government has demolished the car showroom belonging to popular social media influencer and automobile dealer, Waris Olayinka Akinwande, popularly known as Ola of Lagos.

The facility, identified as OOL Autos, was pulled down on Saturday 11 October, 2025, according to multiple reports.

Although the state government has yet to release an official statement explaining the reason behind the demolition, the action is believed to be part of its ongoing enforcement campaign against illegal and unsafe structures across Lagos.

Sources and online speculation suggest that the showroom was allegedly constructed beneath a high-tension power line, an area strictly prohibited for building due to safety and urban planning regulations.

The demolition aligns with the government’s continuous efforts to enforce physical planning laws, restore order, and enhance public safety. Similar exercises have recently been carried out in various parts of the state, including the Trade Fair Complex and sections of Lekki, where buildings without approvals or those obstructing drainages, road setbacks, and rights-of-way were removed.

The Lagos State Government has repeatedly emphasized that such actions are aimed at curbing flooding, protecting lives and property, and maintaining a safer and more sustainable urban environment.
