 Somali World Cup Referee Denied Entry to United States Award-winning Somali referee, Omar Artan, has been denied entry into the United States despite holding a valid visa, according to a senior official in Somalia’s sports ministry. Artan, who is set to become the first Somali referee to officiate at the FIFA World Cup finals, was stopped at Miami International Airport and subsequently returned to Istanbul, where he had been residing. The reason for the denial was not immediately disclosed. However, Somalia is among the countries affected by a travel ban introduced by the administration of Donald Trump.  Lagos High Court Re-Arraigns Convicted Kidnapper Evans for Murder of Police Officers


The Lagos State Government on Monday re-arraigned notorious billionaire kidnapper Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, widely known as Evans, before the Lagos High Court in Ikeja. Evans, alongside his co-defendant Joseph Emeka, faces a five-count charge including murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy to commit kidnapping.


The case, presided over by Justice A. O. Ogala, centers on the alleged murder of two police officers. Both defendants pleaded not guilty to all charges during the court session.


The trial has drawn significant attention due to Evans' high-profile criminal history, with further proceedings expected to unfold in the coming weeks.
