 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  LaMelo Ball fined $35,000 for making obscene gesture at referee

The NBA has fined LaMelo Ball $35,000 for making an obscene gesture toward a referee during the Hornets’ matchup against the Miami Heat this week.

The incident occurred in the final minutes at Kaseya Center, when Ball, frustrated after being called for an offensive foul, raised his middle finger and received a technical foul. Earlier in the game, he also accidentally kicked the ball into opponent Davion Mitchell’s face.

Despite Ball leading Charlotte with 20 points, the Hornets fell 144-117 to Miami and currently hold a 2-2 record this season. Over six years with the team, the former Rookie of the Year has averaged 21.1 points per game, though the franchise has yet to return to the playoffs since 2015-16.
