 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY FOR REPAIR OF ADENIJI ADELE INTERCHANGE JUNCTION TO CMS


The Lagos State Government has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the repair works on the Adeniji Adele Interchange Junction to CMS.


The repair will take place between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. daily, commencing on Sunday, 12th October, and ending on Sunday, 23rd November 2025 - a duration of six weeks.


To minimise traffic disruptions, only one lane will be closed at a time, while the remaining lanes will be open to motorists.


The Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, assured that traffic management personnel will be deployed to the affected area to reduce inconvenience and manage vehicular movement during the repair works.


He urged motorists to comply with the directives of traffic officers on the ground to ensure smooth traffic flow.


ADVISORY:


Motorists are implored to be patient, as the lane diversion is part of the traffic management plan for the rehabilitation of the road by the Federal Ministry of Works.
