LASG PRESENTS CHEQUES TO OWNERS OF OWORO PROPERTY REMOVED FOR URBAN REGENERATION

The Lagos State Government has presented cheques to 79 Oworo community residents whose properties were removed as part of the state's urban regeneration efforts.

The ceremony, held at the Palace of Oloworo Kingdom, was supervised by the Lagos State Urban Renewal Agency (LASURA), an agency under the Office of Urban Development (OUD).

General Manager of LASURA, Tpl. Animashaun Oladimeji Saheed, speaking during the presentation, stated that the government had previously notified affected residents and conducted an enumeration exercise to determine the extent of the compensation.

He emphasised that the compensation fulfilled the government's promise to support affected property owners.

Saheed reiterated the government's commitment to its development agenda and engaging with residents and stakeholders to protect citizens' rights.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude, describing it as a welcome relief, and assured the government of their cooperation in the state's development.
