 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  Nigerian Woman Says Leaving Her Loveless Marriage at 24 Was the Best Decision She Ever Made


A Nigerian woman, Chukwudi Mmesoma, has shared how walking away from her loveless marriage at age 24 turned out to be one of the best choices of her life.


In a Facebook post on Thursday, the mother of two said she refused to remain in an unhappy union just for the sake of her children, stressing that doing so would have cost her youthful years.


“It has been seven years now, and I’m extremely grateful to God,” she wrote. “I left while still young and full of life. Waiting for the children to grow up is often an excuse women use to stay in marriages that clearly aren’t working.”


Now 31, Mmesoma said she has rebuilt her life and is proud of her decision. “I was told I’d get tired and run back, but it’s been seven years — and I’ve never looked back,” she added.
