 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  Northerners Visit Ex-CDS Gen. Christopher Musa’s Residence To Celebrate And Show Support


A large number of well-wishers from across Northern Nigeria have continued to visit the Abuja residence of former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa (rtd), to celebrate and express their support for the retired military leader.


The visits, which began shortly after his retirement, have seen a steady stream of traditional rulers, youth organizations, and political associates trooping to his home. The gatherings have been marked by an atmosphere of goodwill and celebration, as visitors commended General Musa for his distinguished service to the nation and his outstanding leadership in the Nigerian Armed Forces.


Eyewitnesses described scenes of warmth and camaraderie, with many praising the retired general as a patriot who made immense contributions to national security and unity. Others offered prayers for his continued success and good health in his post-service life.


The sustained show of solidarity underscores the deep respect and admiration General Musa commands across the northern region and the country at large.
