So Linus Williams (Blord) has been released from Kuje prison after fulfilling his bail conditions, finally, freedom after a few weeks in custody. However, here’s the current position of his case:  He is still expected to show up and stand his trial.  If he fails to appear in court even for one day, his bail can be revoked and a bench warrant may be issued against him, meaning a return to Kuje. If the prosecution cannot prove the charges against him, he will be discharged and acquitted. If the prosecution proves the charges, he may be sentenced and sent back to Kuje. I think he should seek a peaceful resolution to the case. Congrats to him on his freedom for now.

NPF STRATEGISES ON INCLUSIVE POLICING; SENIOR WOMEN POLICE ON LEADERSHIP TRAINING

The Nigeria Police Force, in partnership with the G.S. Foundation and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has reaffirmed its commitment to building inclusive and capable leadership within its ranks, as female police officers from across the country undergo a specialized Women Leadership Development Course.

Francis Fom reports that for the past two weeks, senior female officers of the Force, drawn from the ranks of Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) to Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs), have been participating in an intensive leadership training programme designed to sharpen their leadership skills and strengthen their professional effectiveness.

With initiatives like this, the Nigeria Police Force continues to demonstrate its dedication to professional growth, inclusivity, and effective service delivery—ensuring that female officers are well-equipped to meet the demands and challenges of modern policing.
