 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  92-Year-Old Paul Biya Declared Winner Of Cameroon Presidential Election


Cameroon’s 92-year-old President, Paul Biya, has been re-elected.


This comes after the country's electoral body officially declared him the winner of the country’s 2025 Presidential Election.


The Constitutional Council on Monday announced that Biya secured 53.66 per cent of the votes, defeating opposition candidate Issa Tchiroma, who polled 35.19 per cent.


Tchiroma, who has consistently challenged Biya’s 43-year grip on power, rejected the outcome, insisting he actually won the ballot with 54.8 per cent of the votes.


Ahead of the declaration, the opposition leader had urged his supporters to embark on peaceful marches despite a government ban on public gatherings.
