 Man brutalises his pregnant wife in Anambra  In another case of domestic violence, a pregnant woman was brutally beaten by her husband in Ichi, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State. The mother of three identified as Chinelo Francis, from Ebonyi State, said trouble began when she requested money from her husband, Peter, to prepare food.  According to the young woman, she had already bought vegetable with the profit she made from her shop. Peter, also from Ebonyi, claimed he didn’t make money that day and took the children home.  He returned to her shop at around 8:00 PM and insisted she close up and come home with him.  She refused, explaining that the time was when she typically made most of her sales.  Later, she closed up her shop, went home at 9:30 PM, prepared the children for bed, and retired.  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS THREE NEW HEADS OF AGENCIES


President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of three (3) new Heads of Agencies. 


They are as follows: National Biosafety Management Agency, Bello Bawa Bwari (Niger State) as the new Director-General for an initial term of four (4) years, effective from September 18, 2025 in accordance with the provision of Section 5 of the National Biosafety Management Agency, 2015.


Hon. Barr. Aminu Junaidu (Zamfara State)  Chairman/ Chief Executive Officer of the Investment and Security Tribunal for a five-year term, effective September 18, 2025. 


 Olayiwola Nurudeen Awakan, Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation for an initial four-year term, effective September 2, 2025.


A statement Segun Imohiosen, Director, Information & Public Relations Office of the Secretary To The 

Government Of The Federation indicates that 

the appointments underscore President Tinubu's commitment to strengthening key sectors and institutions in Nigeria.


It adds, the President tasks the appointees to contribute their expertise in the development of the agencies for the good of the nation.
