Rep. John Larson files impeachment articles against Trump over Iran war threats     Rep. John Larson announced Tuesday that he has filed articles of impeachment against President Trump, citing the president’s recent social media post threatening to destroy a “whole civilization” if the Strait of Hormuz was not immediately reopened. Larson said Trump’s actions in the ongoing war in Iran are illegal and endangering American lives and the economy. The filing comes after Trump temporarily paused the strikes for two weeks following Pakistan’s request for an extended deadline to allow diplomatic efforts. Larson criticized Trump’s remarks, including his Easter Sunday post, as increasingly unstable and a threat to U.S. security. Seventy Democrats, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Sen.  PRESIDENT TINUBU FELICITATES WITH FORMER CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF, GEN. IRABOR, ON 60TH BIRTHDAY

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated General Lucky Irabor, a retired army officer and former Chief of Defence Staff, on his 60th birthday.

A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information & Strategy, says General Irabor held the position of CDS, the highest-ranking military position in Nigeria, during the height of the Boko Haram insurgency in the North-East. He hails from Ika South Local Government in Delta State.

It adds, President Tinubu highlights Irabor's patriotic service to the country and leadership within the military.

The President describes General Irabor as a true war commander and defender.

He was courageous. General Irabor remains one of the most remarkable soldiers this country has ever produced, President Tinubu remarks.

The President commends Irabor for his book on Boko Haram, which was launched last Friday in Abuja. He says it would help the country understand the Boko Haram menace and deal with it and other similar security challenges.

General Irabor said during the book launch that the publication was for soul-searching and not an indictment of anyone.

President Tinubu wishes Irabor many years of good health and invaluable services to the nation. It concludes.
