 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. Rudy Youngblood arrested in Texas over alleged assault

Actor Rudy Youngblood, best known for his leading role in Mel Gibson’s 2006 Oscar-nominated film Apocalypto, has been arrested in Belton, Texas, the Bell County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

Youngblood was taken into custody early Tuesday on a warrant for alleged assault and is being held at Bell County Jail on a $20,000 bond. Authorities have not released full details of the allegations, though reports indicate the arrest involves an incident with a family or household member.

Youngblood gained fame portraying Jaguar Paw in Apocalypto. He was recently cast as the lead in the period drama La Matador, playing Nico Cortez, a tortured painter and romantic interest of the titular female bullfighter. The film is currently in pre-production. In addition to La Matador, Youngblood has five other projects in various stages of production, including Carry You Home, Cooling Effect, Intercept, The Blue Phoenix, and The Moment. His past credits also include The Haunting of Hell Home Mine, Dandelion Season, Attrition, Wind Walkers, and Beatdown.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
