 Somali World Cup Referee Denied Entry to United States Award-winning Somali referee, Omar Artan, has been denied entry into the United States despite holding a valid visa, according to a senior official in Somalia’s sports ministry. Artan, who is set to become the first Somali referee to officiate at the FIFA World Cup finals, was stopped at Miami International Airport and subsequently returned to Istanbul, where he had been residing. The reason for the denial was not immediately disclosed. However, Somalia is among the countries affected by a travel ban introduced by the administration of Donald Trump. Rudy Youngblood arrested in Texas over alleged assault

Actor Rudy Youngblood, best known for his leading role in Mel Gibson’s 2006 Oscar-nominated film Apocalypto, has been arrested in Belton, Texas, the Bell County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

Youngblood was taken into custody early Tuesday on a warrant for alleged assault and is being held at Bell County Jail on a $20,000 bond. Authorities have not released full details of the allegations, though reports indicate the arrest involves an incident with a family or household member.

Youngblood gained fame portraying Jaguar Paw in Apocalypto. He was recently cast as the lead in the period drama La Matador, playing Nico Cortez, a tortured painter and romantic interest of the titular female bullfighter. The film is currently in pre-production. In addition to La Matador, Youngblood has five other projects in various stages of production, including Carry You Home, Cooling Effect, Intercept, The Blue Phoenix, and The Moment. His past credits also include The Haunting of Hell Home Mine, Dandelion Season, Attrition, Wind Walkers, and Beatdown.
