 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. S. A: TWO ARRESTED FOR DRUG DEALING AT NKOWA-NKOWA CBD. (PHOTOS).


 Two Arrested for Drug Dealing at Nkowa-Nkowa CBD


Police have arrested two male suspects for possession and dealing in drugs during an intelligence-driven operation conducted at the Nkowa-Nkowa Central Business District (CBD).


A 20-year-old suspect was first spotted at a local taxi rank and searched. He was found in possession of 25 sachets of Crystal Meth and 16 sachets of Nyaope, with an estimated street value of R2,000.


During further investigation, police arrested a 25-year-old man who was also found dealing in drugs. He was searched and found in possession of four sachets of Crystal Meth, leading to his immediate arrest.


Police later proceeded to the 25-year-old suspect’s residence at Nkomaneng Village, where they discovered his room was being used as a drug storage site. Substances including dagga, Nyaope, Crystal Meth, Rock drugs, 60 smoking pipes, and cash with an estimated street value of R4,000 were confiscated.


Both suspects are expected to appear before the Ritavi Magistrate’s Court soon to face charges of possession and dealing in drugs.


Police investigations are continuing.
