 LSPHCB, SCI COLLABORATE TO STRENGTHEN CHILD IMMUNISATION The Lagos State Primary Health Care Board (LSPHCB) hosted a high-level delegation from Save the Children International (SCI), led by Country Director, Mr. Duncan Harvey, during an official courtesy visit to the board on Thursday, 17th September 2026. The visit comes as part of Save the Children’s global leadership tour in Nigeria to evaluate the impact of the BOOST Project (Better Opportunities for Optimal Services and Targeted Immunisation for Zero-Dose and Under-Immunised Children) and to align on strategic priorities for child health across the state.  Two Arrested for Drug Dealing at Nkowa-Nkowa CBD


Police have arrested two male suspects for possession and dealing in drugs during an intelligence-driven operation conducted at the Nkowa-Nkowa Central Business District (CBD).


A 20-year-old suspect was first spotted at a local taxi rank and searched. He was found in possession of 25 sachets of Crystal Meth and 16 sachets of Nyaope, with an estimated street value of R2,000.


During further investigation, police arrested a 25-year-old man who was also found dealing in drugs. He was searched and found in possession of four sachets of Crystal Meth, leading to his immediate arrest.


Police later proceeded to the 25-year-old suspect’s residence at Nkomaneng Village, where they discovered his room was being used as a drug storage site. Substances including dagga, Nyaope, Crystal Meth, Rock drugs, 60 smoking pipes, and cash with an estimated street value of R4,000 were confiscated.


Both suspects are expected to appear before the Ritavi Magistrate’s Court soon to face charges of possession and dealing in drugs.


Police investigations are continuing.
