Trump issues pardon to former Republican congressman Stephen Buyer after insider trading conviction    President Donald Trump has issued a full pardon to former Republican congressman Stephen Buyer, who served nearly two years in prison after being convicted of insider trading tied to post-congressional consulting work. Buyer was sentenced in 2023 to 22 months in prison for illegal stock trades made while working as a consultant and lobbyist. He was ordered to forfeit more than $350,000 in ill-gotten gains and pay a $10,000 fine. He was released from custody in 2025 after his conviction was upheld, with the Supreme Court declining to take up his appeal earlier this year.  Senator Danjuma Laah Pays Condolence Visit To Zonkwa Police Division Over Attack


Over the weekend, precisely on Friday, October 18, 2025, former Senator of Kaduna South Senatorial District, Danjuma Tella Laah (Shettiman Kagoro), paid a condolence visit to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) and his team at the Zonkwa Division of the Nigerian Police Force following an attack by suspected bandits that claimed the lives of two officers.


During the visit, Senator Laah commiserated with the DPO and the families of the deceased officers over the tragic incident. He expressed his heartfelt sympathy and urged the officers to remain vigilant to prevent future occurrences of such attacks.


“May the souls of the fallen officers who died in the course of maintaining law and order rest in perfect peace,” Senator Laah said.
