 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school.  Six Kaduna Stars Travel To Egypt For Football Trials After Impressing Scouts


Six emerging football talents from Kaduna have departed for Egypt this week to participate in professional trials, following impressive performances that caught the attention of scouts during a recent local development programme.


The young players, products of Kaduna’s dynamic grassroots football scene, were chosen for their standout skills, determination, and ability to adapt to higher levels of competition.


One of the players expressed excitement about the opportunity, saying, “This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance, and we are ready to give our best.”


Their journey has been made possible through the support of local football promoters and mentors who are dedicated to creating international exposure for promising Nigerian talents.


This initiative highlights a growing trend in Nigerian grassroots football—young players gaining access to global opportunities through organized trials and strategic partnerships with foreign clubs.
