Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence.  Taylor Swift denies turning down Super Bowl halftime performance

Taylor Swift has addressed rumors about turning down a Super Bowl halftime show, clarifying that her decision had nothing to do with appearance fees or video rights. On Monday, during an appearance on "The Tonight Show" to promote her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, host Jimmy Fallon asked Swift about claims that she declined the Super Bowl 60 halftime show because the NFL wouldn’t allow her to own the footage.

Swift explained that her relationship with Jay-Z and Roc Nation, which produces the halftime show, is close and that no official offer was ever extended. “We’re always able to tell him the truth, which is that I am in love with a guy who does that sport on that actual field,” she said, referring to fiancé Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. “I’m just too locked in on what that man is doing on the field. Can you imagine he’s out there every single week, putting his life on the line in this very high-intensity, dangerous sport, and I’m like, ‘I wonder what my choreo should be?’” Swift emphasized that Kelce supported her, but her focus is on his season, not a halftime performance.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell had previously extended an open invitation to Swift, noting she would be welcome any time, though Bad Bunny is set to headline the 2026 halftime show. During her late-night interview, Swift also discussed her new album, explaining the meaning behind songs like "The Fate of Ophelia," "Opalite," and "Father Figure," as well as her engagement and recent purchase of her masters, reflecting on how those moments connect to her music career.
