 New UK Prime Minister not the leader Britain needs — Kemi Badenoch UK Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, has congratulated Andy Burnham on becoming Britain’s new prime minister but said while he is “a nice man,” the country needs a leader capable of making difficult decisions rather than “a people pleaser.” In a statement released on Monday on X following Burnham’s assumption of office, Badenoch wished the new prime minister success but vowed to hold his government accountable as Leader of the Opposition. “Today, Britain has a new Prime Minister. I wish Andy Burnham every success. Because we need a Prime Minister and a Government focused on fixing the public’s priorities,” she said.  The Governorship Candidate of ADC has sworn an affidavit in court to serve only one tenure.


In what could be seen as a rare show of integrity and commitment to leadership by example, John Chuma Nwosu, the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has sworn an affidavit at the Anambra State High Court, pledging to serve only one term (four years) if elected governor.


In the court document that was made public, the ADC Governorship candidate, Stated that he wants to complete the remaining 4years left for Anambra South before power returns to Anambra, in line with the rotational principal for  Anambra state.
