 El-Rufai’s Eye Condition Worsening In ICPC Custody, Aide Alleges The media aide to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, Muyiwa Adekeye, has expressed concern over what he described as the worsening eye condition of his principal while in the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). Adekeye also accused the anti-corruption agency of failing to provide El-Rufai with adequate medical care despite repeated complaints about his health. In a statement issued on Friday, Adekeye said the former governor had reported symptoms including swollen, red, and itchy eyes while in detention and had requested medical attention. According to him, family members who visited El-Rufai noticed the condition and alerted ICPC officials, urging them to allow him access to medical treatment. The governor also stated that the reason why he keeps talking about the academic qualifications and certificates of the those contesting for the forthcoming Anambra Election is as follows 


(1)As a citizen of Anambra he has the right know and question the academic qualifications of those who wants to rule the state 


(2) Contesting for the Governorship position in a state like Anambra with fake certificates and failed results, will only be discouraging the young ones from working hard.


(3) He wants to alert anybody that wants to contest for political position subsequently in Anambra, especially the governorship position, that his her or her qualifications will be highly scrutinized.


The governor further clarified that he is not mocking or insulting the people involved, but rather he is saying all these things because desires the progress of the state.
