 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  Three Underage Girls Among Nine Killed By Bandits In Kaduna’s Birnin Gwari


According to Sahara Reporters, at least nine residents of Layin Danauta village in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State were brutally killed by bandits during an attack on Thursday evening. Among the victims were three underage girls, all daughters of one Alhaji Salisu Maiwada.


According to local sources, the bandits launched a coordinated assault on the community around 7 p.m., surrounding the village, blocking all entry and exit routes, and firing indiscriminately.


In addition to the three minors, five married men and a young single man were confirmed dead. About thirteen others sustained serious injuries and are receiving treatment at nearby medical facilities.


A resident of Birnin Gwari town described the incident as “a well-coordinated and ruthless attack,” adding that several villagers were also abducted.
