Trump issues pardon to former Republican congressman Stephen Buyer after insider trading conviction    President Donald Trump has issued a full pardon to former Republican congressman Stephen Buyer, who served nearly two years in prison after being convicted of insider trading tied to post-congressional consulting work. Buyer was sentenced in 2023 to 22 months in prison for illegal stock trades made while working as a consultant and lobbyist. He was ordered to forfeit more than $350,000 in ill-gotten gains and pay a $10,000 fine. He was released from custody in 2025 after his conviction was upheld, with the Supreme Court declining to take up his appeal earlier this year.  Three Underage Girls Among Nine Killed By Bandits In Kaduna’s Birnin Gwari


According to Sahara Reporters, at least nine residents of Layin Danauta village in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State were brutally killed by bandits during an attack on Thursday evening. Among the victims were three underage girls, all daughters of one Alhaji Salisu Maiwada.


According to local sources, the bandits launched a coordinated assault on the community around 7 p.m., surrounding the village, blocking all entry and exit routes, and firing indiscriminately.


In addition to the three minors, five married men and a young single man were confirmed dead. About thirteen others sustained serious injuries and are receiving treatment at nearby medical facilities.


A resident of Birnin Gwari town described the incident as “a well-coordinated and ruthless attack,” adding that several villagers were also abducted.
