BLORD IS OUT FROM KUJE PRISON AFTER PERFECTING ALL HIS BAIL CONDITIONS.(PHOTO).

So Linus Williams (Blord) has been released from Kuje prison after fulfilling his bail conditions, finally, freedom after a few weeks in custody. However, here’s the current position of his case:  He is still expected to show up and stand his trial.  If he fails to appear in court even for one day, his bail can be revoked and a bench warrant may be issued against him, meaning a return to Kuje. If the prosecution cannot prove the charges against him, he will be discharged and acquitted. If the prosecution proves the charges, he may be sentenced and sent back to Kuje. I think he should seek a peaceful resolution to the case. Congrats to him on his freedom for now.

Trade Fair Demolition: Peter Obi’s Hypocrisy and His Free Fall into Political Ridicule

The attention of the Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to yet another unsolicited sermon from Mr. Peter Obi, urging the Lagos State Government to “temper law with compassion” in the ongoing demolition of illegal structures at the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex.

Ordinarily, we would have ignored Obi’s latest outburst, but his trademark hypocrisy deserves to be called out. The same Peter Obi who, as Governor of Anambra State, ordered the demolition of illegal structures - including markets, shops, and residential buildings - without batting an eyelid, now seeks to play the saint when Lagos enforces the law. At that time, he offered neither compassion nor consultation. Today, he suddenly discovers empathy when it suits his politics of deceit and opportunism.

It is clear that Mr. Obi’s politics thrives on selective morality and deliberate mischief. His attempt to politicize a straightforward urban planning enforcement exercise is shameful, deceitful, and unbecoming of a man who once governed a state. Lagos, under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has demonstrated compassion, patience, and due process in handling these matters - including multiple warnings and engagement with stakeholders - before enforcement. No responsible government can look away while illegal structures endanger lives, obstruct development, and compromise public safety.

At this point in time, Mr. Obi should be more concerned about his place in history, considering his free-flowing descent into the ridiculous in the name of politics. His every statement these days drips with desperation and confusion - the hallmark of a man who has lost direction and now feeds off public emotion to stay relevant. He will do well to stop taking advice from mad men whose only claim to political relevance is to shout the loudest against Lagos and President Bola Tinubu.

For the avoidance of doubt, Lagos will not be lectured on governance by political drifters who mistake noise for substance. The state remains a model of lawful governance, strategic urban renewal, and genuine compassion - not the selective theatrics that define Obi’s brand of politics.

We advise Mr. Obi to focus on salvaging his rapidly crumbling political image and the disillusioned ranks of his restless followers. Lagos will continue to enforce its laws without fear or favour while keeping faith with the ideals of order, safety, and progress that have made it a benchmark of good governance in Nigeria.
