Trump announces Andrea Bocelli performance at White House in December

Andrea Bocelli is set to perform at the White House on December 5, President Trump announced following the Italian tenor’s visit to the Oval Office.

Video posted by the White House showed Bocelli singing Con Te Partirò as music played both inside and outside the Oval Office during his visit.

The singer is also scheduled to perform at the Capital One Arena on December 14.

Bocelli’s White House appearance will take place two days before the Kennedy Center Honors, which will have a different format this year, with Trump personally hosting and playing a key role in selecting the honorees: Sylvester Stallone, Gloria Gaynor, KISS, Michael Crawford, and George Strait.

During Trump’s first term, the PBS series In Performance at the White House, which featured performances from top entertainers in the East Room, was paused. It returned for one episode during President Biden’s term. Last summer, Trump pushed for congressional approval of legislation that eliminated all federal funding for public media, including PBS and NPR.
