 The Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO), yesterday, sealed off some buildings/properties across the state over different environmental infractions. They are; * A property on 34, Adeniji Adele, Lagos Island for deliberate discharge of raw sewage into the public drain causing offensive odour and sewage flowing in the community, constituting public nuisance, environmental pollution and endangering human life. * A block of Shops along Powerline Road, Meiran, Alimosho, for the illegal construction and operation of unsanitary toilet facility on a road setback without a permit, constituting public nuisance, environmental pollution and endangering human life. * A three-storey building at 38, Adeniji Adele Street, Lagos Island for deliberate discharge of raw sewage into the public drain. * A building at H29, House of Jesus Street, Langbasa, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, for the deliberate discharge of raw sewage into the public drains. TWO FRIENDS IDENTIFIED AS JUNIOR CLIFFORD AND MBIKA, HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED D3AD AFTER A TOYOTA CAMRY THEY WERE RIDING IN VEERED OFF THE ROAD AND CRASHED INTO A DITCH AT THE OSISIOMA FLYOVER IN ABA, ABIA STATE. (PHOTOS).


 Two friends identified as Junior Clifford and Mbika, have been confirmed d3ad after a Toyota Camry they were riding in veered off the road and crashed into a ditch at the Osisioma flyover in Aba, Abia State. 

 

It was gathered that the impact of the crash trapped the victims inside the car in the water- logged ditch, resulting in their d3ath before help could arrive.

 

The body of a third victim, said to be a female, is yet to be recovered at the time of filing this report. 

 

 

The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Abia State Sector Command, Ngozi Ezeoma, who confirmed the development said the accident happened at 1:00 am on Tuesday, October 28.

 

Ezeoma noted that FRSC brought out the bodies of two male victims who were trapped.

 

“Their bodies have been deposited in the mortuary. FRSC recovered the vehicle from a ditch with a crane. The vehicle is a Toyota Camry. Preliminary investigation revealed excessive speed which made the driver to lose control,” she said.
