 Chris Brown Avoids Jail After London Nightclub Attack, Gets 8-Month Suspended Sentence Chris Brown will not be going to prison for now after a London court sentenced him over a nightclub attack that left music producer Abraham Diaw injured. The American singer, 37, was sentenced at Southwark Crown Court on Monday, October 26, receiving eight months in prison, suspended for 12 months. His co-defendant, rapper HoodyBaby, whose real name is Omololu Akinlolu, 40, received a four-month suspended sentence, also for 12 months. Both were ordered to pay £1,500 in costs. The case dates back to February 19, 2023 at Tape nightclub in Mayfair, London, where Brown admitted attacking Diaw with a tequila bottle. CCTV footage showed the producer being struck twice on the head, hit on the shoulder, chased, pushed to the floor and kicked while down.  Vice President, Kashim Shettima Returns to Abuja


Vice President Kashim Shettima has returned to Abuja after representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York and strategic engagements in Germany.

During the week-long international engagement, the Vice President delivered President Tinubu's national statement calling for comprehensive UN reforms, championed Africa's sovereignty over its 700-billion-dollar mineral resources, and strengthened strategic partnerships with the United Kingdom, Gates Foundation, and other international stakeholders.

Shettima also met with the UN Secretary-General António Guterres and secured his commendation for Nigeria's bid for a permanent Security Council seat and in another engagement, showcased the country's 200-billion-dollar energy transition opportunity to global investors.

He also assured the Nigerian diaspora community of robust engagement in the President Tinubu administration's policies and programmes before his engagements in Germany.
