 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  VIOLENCE ERUPTS IN KWANDE: PROPERTIES OF HRH SIMON BAVER SET ABLAZE

Turan youths on Wednesday set fire to the residence and office of the Mue Ter Ichongo, HRH Simon Baver, following the killing that occurred on Tuesday in Jato-Aka, Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State.


Eyewitnesses reported that a large crowd of youths gathered at both locations before setting them ablaze. The assailants dispersed after destroying several items.


Security personnel later moved to the scene to restore calm. There were no immediate reports of casualties within the affected properties.


Authorities confirmed that investigations into the circumstances surrounding the Jato-Aka killing and the subsequent unrest were underway. Community leaders have appealed for calm and urged residents to allow security agencies to conduct their inquiries without further disruption.
