Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore, has expressed optimism that the detained IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, may soon regain his freedom.
In a statement, Sowore revealed that the Department of State Services (DSS) has allegedly begun intimidating and harassing market leaders in Abuja as activists intensify mobilization for the October 20 protest aimed at demanding Kanu’s release.
He described the alleged DSS actions as acts of desperation, urging Nigerians not to be discouraged or frightened by any form of intimidation.
“We have just one more step to make,The DSS is desperate, but nothing can stop the planned action. Nigerians should remain calm and resolute, nothing will happen to anyone.”
The activist reaffirmed that the movement remains committed to peaceful mobilization and that the FreeNnamdiKanuNow campaign will continue until justice is achieved.
